Palm-leaf book with painted wood covers, the pages held together by cords strung through two holes in each leaf and the covers so that they can be read as the cords are loosened. The text is in Sinhalese language and script together with small line drawings on some leaves. Most of the leaves are inscribed on both sides. The book has been estimated as being from 18th-19th century. Exhibited and published in John Guy `Palm-leaf and paper', 1982
