Jane Carnegie was born in Australia in 1945 and educated in Melbourne [BA, TSTC]. In 1970 she established an Asian art business. Over many subsequent years it entailed travelling widely throughout Asia and the major centres in the Northern Hemisphere to search for stock for exhibitions, to consult with scholars and with respected dealers.
